This book covers all products from 1968 till 2011. 1,930 product descriptions with original LGB product numbers are illustrated with more than 1,320 photos. In addition about 350 variations are covered as well.
About 300 pages are dedicated to engines, 300 pages covers passenger cars, 500 pages freight cars, about 130 pages cover special sets, and 30 pages introduce specialties.
Almost all products are listed with their original MSRP (in DM or Euro), and engines and rolling stock have their length and weight listed.
The Compendium contains photos from the Anniversary Edition with the dark red smoke box (1981), the SOS passenger car of the RhB Special Edition (1999), or the Anniversary car for the club Rhein-Sieg (special edition in 1995 of 100 units).
The detailed reference is followed by cover pages of catalogs, editions of the LGB-Depesch magazine, and the LGB News. Furthermore the Compendium includes in the appendix a detail product reference table, a listing of all European and American railroad companies, as well as all US specialized terms for the rolling stock.
